Trigeminal Neuralgia relief, neck pain
I ordered this to hopefully help with constant facial pain. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, both types and on both sides of my face. For those who have the atypical TN, this may be something you can try. I have found that when the low buzz goes into what I call "flamethrower mode", with the electrical heat sensation going nuts, using this can be VERY helpful. Somehow it competes with and overcomes that pain. Occasionally it knocks it out almost entirely, but more often the relief is temporary. Good enough for me, as the unrelenting pain of ATN can drive you batty. Any break is welcome. As for typical TN, with the shooting pains and throbbing teeth, not so effective for those in my experience. One star off because the beads smell bad and the heat dissipates so quickly. This pad is also good for neck pain, sits nicely in place. I haven't tried it for migraines, but that's because I fear heat will actually make it worse based on the fact that heat increases bloodflow, which only adds to the pressure of a vascular headache. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'll try it next time. If so, I will update my review.

This is a great product, although it’s not as weighted as I expected and it doesn’t hold heat for a very long time. The material is soft and comfortable. Worth the money for some additional sinus relief & facial relaxation
Heats up and stays Warm!
When I first got this DoloPad, I thought it was too small to do any good but found it works better than you would think! I had originally gotten it to help with menstrual pain/shoulder aches but found it helps in other uses as well! I tend to be prone to headaches quite often and being able to cool this down, it fits the face area perfectly for any headaches one may have. It also was able to help with menstrual pain quite well and stayed heated up for a long time! I'd recommend this, especially for the face but it can help with aches around the body as well!
Pretty good addition to skincare.
I love skincare and use lots of it. I also like warm things on my face as opposed to cold presses, etc. This pad seemed like a good item to add to my ever-growing collection of tools. I really like how soft this pad is, it feels very velvety. It's also pretty heavy, but it's just the right amount of heaviness (think - heated blanket). When I first opened it, there was a smell to it. Nothing bad or nasty, just kind of an unpleasant new item smell. I washed it on delicate cycle and dried on low, and the smell was gone. Although I like to keep our microwave clean, I don't like the idea of putting something like this in the microwave and then putting it on my face. if I did, I would use some sort of bowl to put it in when microwaving it. Instead, I heat the pad in my towel warmer. It gets warm enough to feel nice, without the risk of overheating and burning my face. (If you do use it in the microwave, please heat it up in intervals.) I use this at the end of my skincare routine. When I apply all of my skincare products, I put on a plastic sheet (like a face sheet mask, but it's just thin plastic without any serums on it - you can find them here on Amazon), then put this pad on top. The warmth helps open up my pores and absorb products better, and the plastic sheet keeps the products from evaporating and keeps this mat clean. The heat doesn't last as long as I'd like it to (hours, probably, because it feels really nice), but it does stay warm for about 15 minutes, which is sufficient for a short relaxing session. If you're considering getting one of these, give this one a try. Recommended! :)
